Local Groups Collaborate To Teach Cloth Diapering Oct. 10

  • Friday, October 2, 2015

Cloth diaper enthusiasts and inquirers alike are invited to meet up Oct. 10 for a class on cloth diapering basics -- and several local groups are in on the collaboration.

The class is in partnership with The Chattery, Wee Care Diaper Service and local Facebook group Chattanooga Cloth Diapering Moms and Dads. The class will be co-taught by Megan Clark, mother of two, registered nurse, and leader of a cloth diapering Facebook group of more than 500 members and Jason Mitchell, father of five, and co-founder of local startup Wee Care Diaper Service.

“I especially look forward to encouraging new moms and dads,” said Mr. Mitchell. “Cloth diapering is a healthy and sustainable alternative to disposable diapers. Our hope is that we can educate new parents on how to properly use cloth and celebrate their new arrivals with them.”

The class will be hosted at local company Inspire Chiropractic at 400 East Main St. from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The class costs $15 and includes cloth diapering tricks, tips and door prizes. Children are welcome.

To sign up, please register through the Chattery’s website at www.thechattery.org
