  • Friday, October 23, 2015
As an ongoing project of the Chief John Ross Chapter, DAR, to remember the tragedy in Chattanooga on July 16, 400 flags gathered by the DAR from the Lee Highway shooting site were taken to the Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County 911 Service Center.

"The flags were distributed to the police officers and 911 personnel who were instrumental in the activities of that day, and every day, saving many other lives with their quick thinking and professional work.  We wish to thank them for all they do to keep Chattanooga safe and protected, making it the great city it is," officials said.
