An indoor fall carnival complete with free food will be the gift to the East Brainerd community this Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church.
From 5-7 p.m. there will be carnival games and activities all over the church grounds. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costume and the entire family is invited to have free hamburgers and/or hot dogs with all the fixings.
Pastor Mark Flynn will close the evening with his challenging version of ‘stump-the-audience’ trivia contest in the church sanctuary. “We will pack a ton of fun and free food into two hours, so don’t be late,” said Mr. Flynn, who says this free event is a way to thank the many families in the community who support Christ Church.
Organizers remind visitors that the E. Brainerd Road construction will slow down traffic slightly but that you should not be deterred. The event, rain or shine, is Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Christ United Methodist Church is at 8645 East Brainerd Road, three miles east of I-75.
