Lee Women's Soccer Team Win Fourth Straight

With Summer Lanter and Kinsey Cichowitz leading the charge, the Lee women's soccer team put its fourth straight victory in the record books on Sunday afternoon and moved to 4-1 in Gulf South Conference play, defeating host Spring Hill College, 3-1.Overall the Lady Flames are 5-3-2 and will return home on Friday, facing West Alabama.

The Lady Flames took command in the 33rd minute when Kinsey Cichowitz tallied her first goal of the season. The junior midfielder dribbled through traffic and ripped her unassisted score into the net.The margin grew to 2-0 at the 38:41 mark when sophomore Summer Lanter picked up an assist from Sarah Standley and drilled her shot into the back of the net.
Her shot came from the top of the box at the 18.

Spring Hill cut the margin to 2-1 at the halfway point. With the clock showing 40:20 Lillian DeSousa collected her team's only goal of the afternoon on Madison Camet's assist.

Lee put the contest out of reach some nine minutes deep into the second stanza when Lanter picked up her second goal of the day on Cichowitz's assist. Lanter punched her short shot passed the Badger keeper.

The Lady Flames fired 27 shots and had 10 shots on goal. The defense limited Spring Hill to only six shots and five were on target. Erin Olson was in goal for Lee and recorded four saves. Maggie Dalessio had seven saves in the loss. The Lady Flames kept the pressure on the Badgers the entire afternoon and as a result received nine corner kicks.
