Jeffrey Scott Jirsa, 57, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, October 2, 2015.

He was born April 6, 1958 in Berwyn, Il., and raised in Westchester, Il. He served his country in the U.S. Army, he was a registered nurse and worked for Parkridge Medical as an educator; and was chosen to work for the Chattanooga Pain and Surgery Center for the past 10 years where he was currently employed at the time of his death. He took excellent care of his patients and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Jirsa, Sr.; brother, Ronald George Jirsa; and his wife, Mary Jirsa.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Jirsa; brothers, Richard (Claudia) Jirsa and James (Denise) Jirsa; sister, Susan (Brian) Buonomo; sister-in-law, Lilian Jirsa; he is also survived by nephews and nieces to whom he was very special.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, in the funeral home chapel.
