Marvin A. Simonds, 85, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 in a Spring City health care facility.
Mr. Simonds was the son of the late Laura Shelton Simonds and William Robert Simonds; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Simonds; and his brothers, Cecil, Bill, Rufus and Soris Simonds and Joe Shelton.
Mr. Simonds was well loved and he enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends. He was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Becky Simonds; his sons, Royce and David Simonds; his grandson, Nathan Simonds all of Cleveland; his sister, Delfy Dixon of Houston, TX; his brother, Marlin Simonds of Dade City, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. with Reverend James Cox officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
