Philip Liga, 68, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Erlanger Hospital.

Philip was born in Bronx, NY on June 23, 1947 to the late Emmanuel and Louise (Velotti) Liga; and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Liga, Louis Liga and Anthony Liga; sisters, Lorraine Liga and Sandra Ann Liga; and great-grandchild, Blaz Deckar Baldwin.

He enjoyed fishing and bowling and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He and his wife moved to Dayton in 2006. He was of the Catholic faith.

Philip is survived by his wife, Georgia "Tina" Liga of Dayton; two sons, Chris (Lisa) Liga of Long Island, NY and Philip Liga Jr. of FL; three daughters, Betty Jo Everett of Dayton, Janie Parton of Dayton and Mary Ruth Julia Gilbert of Spring City; his sister, Anna Liga of Bronx, NY; his brother, Manny Liga Bronx of NY; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews; and one uncle.

A memorial gathering will be held at the family home at 175 Hilltop Church Rd. in Dayton Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 12-6 p.m.
