Luke Garrett, 69, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday morning, October 6, 2015 at the family residence.
Luke was the son of the late Estelle Lance Garrett and Marion J. Garrett; and was also preceded in death by his sisters, Thelma Timmons and Susie Mae Green; and his brothers, Jr. Edwards, Bill Garrett, Gordon Garrett, Wilburn Garrett and Johnny Garrett.
Luke worked in Carpet Mills most of his life and after he retired, he worked as a Security Guard. He enjoyed the outdoors including camping, riding in the Mountains and traveling to the Ocean. Luke attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Garrett of Cleveland; his daughter, Amie Crockett and her husband Terry of Cleveland; his son, Michael Garrett and his wife Pansy of Benton, TN; his grandchildren, Tony Garrett and his wife Jessica, Tonya Garrett, Colby Wilson, Crystal Wilson, Chelsea Wilson, Catelyn Crockett and Collin Crockett; his great-granddaughter, Zoe Garrett; his sister, Opal Weaver of Cumming, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with the Reverend Donnie Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery with Tony Garrett, Colby Wilson, Collin Crockett, Brian Lewis, Levi Lewis and Michael Kay serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
