The Chattanooga Mocs softball team clinched a 10-0 win over Bryan College Wednesday. UTC scored six runs in the second inning, three in the fifth and one in the sixth.
"We had four scoreless innings," head coach Frank Reed stated. "I feel we played a little lackadaisical. We didn't have the fire we had Tuesday night. I'm still looking for that consistency with the players going forward."
Freshman Jordan Fortel (Greeneville, Tenn.) hit a
homerun in the bottom of the sixth.
UTC played back-to-back games this week since Monday, featuring scrimmages against Roane State and Chattanooga State.
"I liked the consistency of having three back-to-back games,” Reed said.
“It gives us a little more going forward."
The Mocs wrap up fall play with the Blue & Gold Game, an
intersquad scrimmage, Friday at 4:00 p.m. in Frost Stadium. Following the game, there is set to be a presentation of the 2015 Southern Conference Championships rings and a free cookout at approximately 6:00 p.m.
