Street Closings Announced For The Weekend

Here are upcoming street closings for the weekend: 

Friday–Saturday:

-          Chattanooga Head Race: The ramp to Riverfront Parkway from the Veterans Bridge, Riverfront Parkway from Aquarium Way to Molly Lane and Power Alley and Chestnut Street at Aquarium Way will be closed at 4 a.m. on Friday until 9 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday:

-          Tour de Cure: No road closures will take place, however a police escort will lead bikers onto their course.  Please watch for escort vehicles and bikers in the road off Broad Street at Chattem.

-          Johnson Mental Health Pumpkin Run: from 8:30-10:30 a.m., runners will be along Moccasin Bend Road from the Moccasin Bend Health Institute to Hudson Road.  Please watch for runners in the road.

-          UTC Home Football Game: Reggie White Boulevard from the entrance to the skate park to 19th Street will be closed.  9th Street from Reggie White to Chestnut Street will be closed and Chestnut from 19th to 17th will be closed. The right north bound lane on Riverfront Parkway will be closed between Chestnut and Reggie White. Closures to start around 6 a.m. and re-open by 12 a.m.

Sunday:

-          Urban Nature 10K: Lane closures on Cherokee Boulevard between Spears Avenue and Market Street will take place.  Please watch for a traffic officer directing traffic and runners crossing.  The event is to take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m

-          The Chattanooga Market: Reggie White from the entrance to the skate park to 19th Street will be closed.  For more information please visit http://chattanoogamarket.com/
