Mary Sue Arp, 76, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Arp was born in Chattanooga to the late William F. Harvey, Sr., and Carrie Lecroy Harvey. She attended the Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed oil painting, folk art painting and wood crafts. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard Arp, sister, Louise “Midge” Hise, and brothers, William F. Harvey, Jr., Paul, John, and Leon Harvey.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Yana and Dennis Vanhorn; and brother, George H. Harvey; sisters-in-law, Norma Harvey Ganaway and Hattie Harvey; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Tom Whitsett officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 11, from 3-6 p.m. and Monday, from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
