Family Of Child Injured At Fall Creek Falls Publishes Book

Five Years After Accident, How Caleb's Story Has Changed Lives

  • Sunday, November 1, 2015

Timothy M. Brown, Jr., minister and father of Caleb Brown, who was injured in 2010 by a falling boulder at Fall Creek Falls National Park, has written and is publishing a book detailing the astonishing events that surrounded their son’s tragic accident. The book is set to be released this month.

In the words of Caleb’s father, “On Oct. 16, 2010, when a terrifying accident nearly took the life of our two-year-old son, Caleb, the very foundation of our family’s faith in God was rocked. As we struggled to come to terms with the endless road ahead of hospitalizations, incomprehensible medical costs, and the daily demands of Caleb’s constant home-based supervision and therapy while trying to raise our two other small children, we fought to hold our family together, trying desperately to make sense of events out of our control.

“Only when we re-established our faith in God, with the help of family, friends, the power of the Internet, and countless strangers around the world praying for our son, did we then see the power of prayer manifest in Caleb’s miraculous progress, and begin to see God’s plan for a brighter tomorrow.

“As we explored God’s unmistakable activity in our lives, we experienced some stunning revelations—about marriage, family, and what it means to have a relationship with God, especially in the midst of adversity, ultimately recognizing that God still speaks—even today through dreams, visions, and miracles—and many other surprising ways, and that love—love of God and love of one another—really does conquer all.

"It’s these lessons and encounters with God that we have a burning desire to share with others, and it’s these you will read about in God Still Speaks: The Miracle at Fall Creek Falls.”

In the words of one recent Chattanoogan who read the Brown’s book, “I have read this book, and it is a blessing. If you ever doubted that prayer works, or doubted that God still performs miracles ...you will find both in this book. God has touched many and will continue to touch and bless many through Caleb's accident. I know you will get a blessing from it." – T. Harris, Chattanooga

God Still Speaks: The Miracle at Fall Creek Falls is currently being featured and has nearly been fully funded on Kickstarter.com as the family is raising money to finish publishing the book. See the Kickstarter campaign here: www.godstillspeaksbook.com.The book will be self-published through Ingram Publishers, and will be released in November.
