Jim Pfitzer will host an Evening of Stories on Friday. Guests may bring a beverage of choice and enjoy an evening of storytelling for adults in Jim and Rhonda Palmour's living room in the historic Fortwood neighborhood in Chattanooga.
The first set will include excerpts from Jim's new work-in-progress, Chestnut Ridge-- a story set in Southern Appalachia during the American Chestnut Blight, and his one-man play Aldo Leopold - A Standard of Change.
Following a 15 minute intermission, Jim will return for a set of humorous and heartwarming tales, then wrap the evening up with a bedtime story.
The home of Jim and Rhonda Palmour is at 835 Vine St., just east of the UTC campus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m. The evening will be concluded by 9 p.m. Park on the street; parking authorities will be notified so participants will not be ticketed.
RSVP to jim@jimpfitzer.com to help plan for seating, but last minute decisions to show up without notice are more than welcome. There is a suggested donation of $10-$15.
