Assessor Candidate Sterling Jetton Announces Leadership Team

Sterling Jetton on Thursday announced several leadership positions within his campaign for Hamilton County Assessor of Property.  Mr. Jetton said, “Running for public office is an endeavor that requires much prayer and support. I am both humbled and honored by those that have joined us in this journey to serve the citizens of Hamilton County.” 

Former State Rep. Bobby Wood has been named campaign chairman. Rep. Wood served 28 years in the Tennessee Legislature, has been honored as the Tennessee Republican Party’s “Statesman of the Year”, and is a stalwart for the GOP at every level. He is also a former chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party. 

Assessor Bill Bennett and former Deputy Gov. Claude Ramsey have also committed as honorary co-chairs. “We have had the privilege of serving Hamilton County as Assessor of Property, but the exceptional staff members are what have made the office great," they said.  "Sterling Jetton has 27 years of experience in the Assessor’s office, and he is equipped to make the tough, administrative decisions required to run this office successfully.” 

Pam McAllister joins the campaign as treasurer.  Ms. McAllister has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry and brings a background of accounting, management, and marketing. 

Members of the Campaign Steering Committee are J. Bart Brannon, Kelly Madewell, Mark Matlock, Connally and Vicki Million, Kimberly Wheeler, Joe Wingate and Jeanne Wood. 

Members of the Campaign Finance Committee are Henry Hoss, Bobby Hudgens and Charlie Umbarger. 

Members of the Campaign Outreach Committee are Buddy Blevins, Mike Doubleday, Floyd Farrow, Former State Rep. Richard Floyd, Leroy Grant, Ed Gravitte, Lamar McDaniel, Jim Parks, Bobby Scott and Thomas Stafford. 

Dalton Temple is serving as campaign volunteer coordinator. Mr. Temple brings experience from political campaigns at many levels. 

Jonathan Mason has joined as campaign manager.  Mr. Mason has successfully managed several local campaigns and is a past chairman of the Hamilton County Young Republicans. 

Mr. Jetton said, “Our team consists of a broad spectrum of respected and talented individuals from across Hamilton County. We are working hard every day to continue earning voters’ trust and confidence based on 27 years of experience providing fair and honest property assessments.” 

Mr. Jetton is seeking the Republican nomination for the office of Hamilton County Assessor of Property. The Republican Primary will be held on March 1, with early voting beginning on Feb. 10.
