Erlanger Plans $2 Million Upgrade To Emergency Department

Erlanger Health System officials said Monday that $2 million in renovations are planned at the Emergency Department.

Renovations include the addition of five new treatment areas, an upgraded waiting area, new flooring, hardware, furniture, nurse’s unit, additional restrooms and upgrades to the IT system, which will allow for improved patient registration. 

Officials said the purpose is to improve patient flow and overall patient experience through a more aesthetically pleasing environment.

The exact cost was put at $1.979 million. This includes $481,051 funded through Sodexo, capital costs of $643,312, and operational costs of $855,127.
