Jason Allen Saint has been sentenced to serve 52 months in federal prison on weapon and drug charges.
Saint earlier pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of meth with intent to resell.
On Nov. 3, 2014, a Chattanooga Police officer witnessed Saint driving erratically in a car with invalid registration. It was discovered that the car was listed as stolen.
Saint and his girlfriend, Destiny Bellamy, claimed to have purchased the car with cash and that the bill of sale was in their hotel room.
An officer followed them to their hotel room for them to get it. Inside the room, the officer noticed small plastic baggies and a small digital scale on a nightstand. The officer also noticed a Diamondback Arms pistol that was hanging in a holster from a chair in the far corner of the room.
Ms. Bellamy then showed police more ammunition and some 27.4 grams of what appeared to be crystal meth.
Ms. Bellamy claimed ownership of marijuana and a glass pipe.
Saint admitted that the pistol, ammunition, scale and meth belonged to him.
Saint had a prior felony conviction in Georgia.
