  • Wednesday, November 18, 2015

Sterling Jetton announced on Wednesday that he has received the endorsement of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors in the Republican Primary for the office of Hamilton County Assessor of Property.

Representatives of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors said, “This endorsement is in recognition of our belief that Sterling Jetton is highly qualified for this position, and that his record of service to our community has proven worthy of selection by the voters.”

Following service in the United States Army, Mr. Jetton was as an employee of the Assessor of Property’s office for 27 years. During that time, he was lead real property appraiser during six reappraisals and was promoted to the role of senior property appraiser. He has also served in bi-vocational church ministry for 20 years and is the current senior pastor at Shelter Church.

The Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors trustees said, “We are certain that Sterling Jetton’s principles and values most closely embody those for which the realtor community stands and that he will be an effective voice for our members as well as the thousands of citizens of Hamilton County who desire to enjoy the American dream of home ownership.”

Mr. Jetton said, “It truly is an honor to receive the endorsement of the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors. Ensuring fair and honest assessments in accordance with our state constitution is the main role of assessor, but the office also plays a vital role in many property related business transactions. I am committed to maintaining accurate property information while partnering with the real estate industry to ensure home and business owners continue to receive a high level of customer service.”
