Interscholastic Climbing League Meet November 21
The Interscholastic Climbing League will hold it's second meet on Saturday, November 21 at High Point Riverside.

Little Cedar Mountain Guided Hike December 5
Nickajack Naturalist, Bob Butters, partners with Outdoor Chattanooga to host a free, four mile hike on TVA's Little Cedar Mountain trail on Sat., Dec. 5. This will be a moderate, leisurely-paced hike with two climbs and two descents averaging 350 feet in elevation gain. Enjoy scenic views of Nickajack Lake and the surrounding mountains, as well as a chance to see some of Little Cedar Mountain's wide variety of plant and animal life. The trailhead is located 45 minutes from Chattanooga and the group will meet at 9 a.m. at the trailhead. The hike is appropriate for ages 8 and up. *Walker Farms Pioneer Days November 19, 20 & 21
Journey back in time to the 1800's with the Chattanooga Audubon Society as they host Walker Farms Pioneer Days on Thurs., Nov. 19 and Fri., Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sat., Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. See for yourself what it was like for our ancestors as they carved out an existence in the wilderness. Experience the sights, the sounds, the smells, and the work that made up their everyday life. See demonstrations of such skills as Dutch-oven cooking, wood tools, rope-making, and spinning, as well as blacksmithing, farming, and much more! Admission is $5 per person and appropriate for all ages. 
*Ice on the Landing Opens November 20
Ice on the Landing opens Friday, November 20 at 6 p.m. at Ross's Landing with a 60' x 100' ice rink for skaters to enjoy through the winter months. Check out the website for hours of operation, ticket prices and special events.  

*Pangorge November 21
Pangorge is back for its 2nd year on Sat., Nov. 21. The adventure race highlights the TN River Gorge by sending racers paddling on the TN River, trail running near pot house and finishing with a monster climb at Raccoon Mountain. The start and finish will be at Tennessee River Place if you want to come out and cheer on your favorite racer or team or just be part of the after race celebration. 

*35th Annual Lighted Boat Parade November 27
Celebrate the holidays at the 35th annual Lighted Boat Parade on Friday, November 27 from 7-9 p.m. on the Chattanooga River Front. This is a free event, open to the public, with great viewing locations at Ross's Landing and the Walnut Street Bridge. *Lula Lake Open Hike Days
With the weather cooling, it's a great time to get out with friends and family to enjoy a scenic hike at Lula Lake. Open Hike days for the rest of the year are: 
Sat., Nov. 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
Sat., Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sun., Dec. 6 from 12 to 5 p.m.
Sat., Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Donations are appreciated, but not required.

*Holiday Open House at Cravens House Dec. 4 & 5 
Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will host special tours of Cravens House on Lookout Mountain Battlefield, as a part of a Holiday Open House, on Fri. and Sat., Dec. 4 & 5. The house will be decorated Civil War era style. Guided history tours will leave every 30 minutes between 6 and 8 p.m. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Community News

Raccoon Mountain will be closed Oct. 17- Nov. 21 for routine reservoir maintenance, which includes access to the boat ramp, biking and hiking trails.
T-WALL/PRENTICE COOPER will be closed Nov. 28 - Dec. 3 to recreation the for hunting.  
ROCKTOWN will be closed to recreation Nov. 13-15 and Dec. 10-13 for hunting.
Passes are required for Rocktown and can be purchased here.
