Hamilton Heights Christian Academy will be renewing a spin-off of the former Scenic City Classic this weekend at Chattanooga State Community College.

The new Hawks Havoc will be played Friday and Saturday and features four teams with 15 high school players either currently being recruited or already signed by NCAA Division 1 basketball programs.

The round robin will include Hamilton Heights, The Rock (Gainesville, Fla), Central Park (Birmingham, Ala.), and Wesley Christian (Allen, Ky.).

East Hamilton hosted the old Scenic City Classic and local fans were treated some outstanding prep basketball talent that couldn't been seen any other place in town.

Hamilton Heights has six players on its roster who currently have Division 1 offers and another player who is being recruited by D1 programs.

Former participants of past classics include Joel Embiib, former All-American at Kansas and now with the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA; Abdoulaye Gueye of Georgia Tech; Mitchell Wilbekin of Wake Forest; Christian Benzon, University of Evansville; Glenn Feidanga, Long Island University; and Aleksa Jugovic, Middle Tennessee State University.

Embiid appeared with The Rock in the old Scenic City Classic and was the talk of the town for months.

Admission is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for students.

The schedule for the classic is as follows:

Wesley Christian, 6 p.m.

The Rock vs. Hamilton Heights, 7:30 p.m.
