Help Those In Need - And Response (2)

  • Friday, November 20, 2015

Before we act too hastily as a nation and turn our backs on legitimate refugees from any country fleeing thieves, robbers and terrorist....read the Parable of the Good Samaritan as told by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke 10: 25-37.  Then as a nation, lets take the advice of Jesus and "Go and do likewise."

We can protect our national security and not turn our backs on fellow human beings who are in real and desperate need.

One of the reasons America is strong today is we have never been afraid to help those who need it.

One of the reasons this nation is so strong is because individuals respond to help those in need, they don’t wait for the nation to respond. They respond when they see a need and they believe they need to fill that need and not lecture and demonize others.

The United Nations report as of Nov. 17 states that there are 4,289,792 registered Syrian refugees and about 22 percent are men between the ages of 18 and 59; or when put in actual numbers, 943,754.  Despite the rhetoric of some elected, former elected officials and religious leaders to demonize and to portray American citizens as paranoid, uncaring and turning their backs on other human beings in need, let’s not forget nor deny these other human beings if they happen to be terrorist, have no problem using women and children to do their dirty work .

In February of this year U.S. News and World Report ran a story stating all factions in the Syrian conflict have recruited child soldiers, those under the age of 18, and they reported it is possible ISIS may have units composed solely of minors.

Are any of you that are demonizing, minimizing and mocking other American citizens willing to open up your homes and take in Syrian refugees with the caveat that you need to be held responsible for any act or threat of terrorism committed by the refugees in your home just as if you had committed the act yourself? Here’s your opportunity to show your moral superiority. Show us you are not afraid and put some actions behind empty and pious words of condemnation for others with legitimate concerns. Respond to your own call for action.

VET- "to examine, investigate, or evaluate in a thorough or expert way".  Seems both you supporting these supposed "refugees" fail to recognize the countless number of them that are entering European countries on fake passports, or are actually not from Syria and are not refugees in the first place.  A majority of them are able-bodied young men, not women and children anyway.

Can you say female terrorist/bombers as well.  Last week five or six with fake passports were intercepted trying to get to the U.S. thru Honduras.  Obama wants to bring in many more thousands of Muslims, but not an equal percentage of Christian refugees.  (Can we all say future Democrat voters).

Tennessee and our neighboring Georgia and other states are being flooded with these "refugees" via the Catholic League, and we are not being told the number or where they are being settled.  Thousands of Samoli "refugees were brought into Tennessee by the Catholic League and  immediately put at the top of the list for government assistance.  Over 625 families with disabled children cannot even get on the list for assistance because these Samoli refugees bumped them down so low on the list.

Before you use the Bible again (selectively) how about also standing up for other innocents being denied their right to life- the unborn.  Oh, and by the way, in the Good Samaritan parable the man left to die by the thieves and robbers was innocent- how many of your "refugees" are not?
