Sarahlene Dunson Cloer, 90, of Dalton, Georgia and formerly of Atlanta, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marvin Cloer; her parents, Jack and Fannie Dunson; her sisters, Dorothy Turner, Francis Boswell and Nelda Dunson; her brother, Ralph Dunson; and her niece, Millie Boswell.
She graduated from Berry College and taught home economics in Dawnville and third grade students in DeKalb County Schools. She was an active member of Harmony Baptist Church in Dawnville and active in the community.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ben Crowley of Suwanee, GA; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Elaine Cloer of Loganville, GA; her grandchildren, Jeffery Crowley, Tori Cloer and Cody Cloer; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson, Ethan, Hannah and Colton Crowley and Dawson Cloer.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Hensley and Rev. Billy Willis officiating. Burial will be at the West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 12-2 p.m.
