Carl Norman Corneliussen
Carl Norman Corneliussen died on November 16, 2015.
He was born in Tallassee, Al., on July 7,1934 to Carrie Crow Corneliussen of Alabama and Erling Corneliussen of Tonsburg, Norway.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Darling Corneliussen; daughter, Candy Corneliussen, son, Cris Corneliussen; grandchildren, Karly (Ben) McMurry, Neil Corneliussen Fisher; great-grandchildren, Ella Kate, Benjamin, Henry; sister, Erline Corneliussen Correll; and several nieces and nephews.
Carl "Whitey" grew up in Knoxville, graduating from East High in 1952, and UT in 1958. After college and serving in the Navy during the Korean War, he began a manufacturing management career, working throughout the Southeast before settling in Chattanooga. Whitey was known as a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and an engaging storyteller.
There will be a celebration of his life and his love of birds at Audubon Acres on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 12-2 p.m.
A private burial will occur in the National Cemetery.
