Michael Owen Phillips, 69, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Sunday, November 22, 2015.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a former employee of Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park where he worked for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Henley Phillips, mother, Annie Laura Moore Phillips; sister, Robin Sponberger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.L. and Dixie Ruth Dietz Henley.
He is survived by sons, Jeremy David Phillips of Tunnel Hill, and Michael Shane (Kelly) Phillips of Ringgold; father, Roy Don Phillips of Ringgold; sister, Donna (Mickey) Lawrence of Ringgold; two brothers, Ronnie Phillips of Ringgold, and Scott (Carmen) Phillips of Ringgold; sister-in-law, Diane Crane of Ringgold; four grandchildren, Zane, Hunter, Noah and Jace Phillips, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Rick Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Dietz Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
