Tennessee Wesleyan College will hold its annual Christmas programs next week. The 13th Annual Lessons and Carols: Away in a Manger will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Athens. The service will feature music from the TWC choirs and band as well as scripture readings by TWC students, faculty and staff.

The Third Annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 on the TWC Quad. The event will feature music and holiday festivities, along with the lighting of the TWC Christmas tree.

“The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is a great time for students, faculty, staff and community members to come together and celebrate the start of the Christmas season,” TWC Vice President for Student Life Scott Mashburn said.
“This is the third annual tree lighting ceremony, and we are excited the program will be student-led, featuring music and scripture readings by TWC students.”
