Monica McMillon, 37, Shot And Killed In Alton Park On Tuesday Night; 2 Shot On Holtzclaw Avenue

Monica McMillon, 37, was shot and killed in Alton Park on Tuesday night.

Then several hours later, two people were shot on Holtzclaw Avenue.

The Chattanooga Police responded to the 3800 block of Highland Ave. on the report of a shooting. Once on scene police located one victim inside a residence. She was struck by gunfire and succumbed to her injuries on scene.

 

No suspect information is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing. 

 

In the second incident, police responded to the 600 block of South Holtzclaw Avenue on the report of shots fired. While investigating that incident, two people arrived at a local hospital by personal vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds. 

A man was shot in the head and a woman in the arm.

Police said the injures were not life threatening.

The call came out at 10:38 p.m.

No suspect information is available on that shooting.
