Marion Garrett Johnson, 87, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, November 21, 2015, surrounded by her family. 

She attended Howard High School and retired from Parkridge Hospital.  Marion was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church where the pastor is Dr. Ernest L. Reid, Sr.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberta Mack and Walter Garrett; grandmother, Fannie Garrett; brothers, Robert Weaver, Will Martin, Jr., and James P. Martin. 

She is survived by her two sons, Terrell (LaFreda) Johnson, Sr. and Christopher Johnson; one daughter, Leattrice (Nathaniel) Strickland; one sister, Doris (Calvin) Parker; niece, Alberta (Sam) Mitchell; grandchildren, Corey Fletcher, Sr., Nathaniel Strickland, Darrell (Tiffany) Strickland, Terrell Johnson, Jr., Rainey (Eric) Roberson, Konada Johnson, and Crystal (Kacy) Johnson; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Frances Martin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Visitation is on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 2305 E. Third Street with the funeral to follow at noon with Reverend Paul A. McDaniel, Sr. as the eulogist. Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. 

Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
