After 31 years in the Assessor’s Office, Randy Johnston will enter Republican primary for the Assessor of Property in Hamilton County.

Mr. Johnston believes that his experience sets him apart. He said, "I have 31 years in this office, and I have shown the type of stewardship and the accountability that citizens deserve. Hamilton County’s tax payers expect someone who knows how to do the job and who will treat them fairly.”

During the majority of Mr. Johnston’s 31 years in the assessor’s office, Roy Rumfelt was his inspiration.
Mr. Rumfelt’s widow, Sherri, is supportive and counting on Mr. Johnston to build upon Mr. Rumfelt’s legacy. Mr. Johnston said, “It was Roy that taught me that this job is all about fairness and transparency.”

After years of full time experience in assessor of property and as a small business owner, Mr. Johnston has the understanding of leadership needed to be successful. “I’ve dedicated my career to serving the people of this community and would be humbled to earn the trust as assessor.”

After much consideration and support from family, friends and people of Hamilton County, Mr. Johnston felt called to offer his experience, knowledge and commitment. "With the election being held March 1, my team and I are ready to get to work. I believe my experience and current leadership in the office are examples of what it takes to be the a successful Assessor of Property.”
