Geneva Lovell, 85, of Benton, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home and Rehab.
She was born in Iaeger, WV on March 4, 1930 to the late Ira and Bessie Robinson. Geneva worked in the health care industry most of her life. She was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. Geneva loved gardening and held a special place in her heart for children and ministering to others. One word that could sum up Geneva’s life would be “caregiver”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lovell; and several siblings.
Geneva is survived by one daughter, Judy Crabtree and her husband Jon; three grandchildren, Billy Crabtree (Courtney), Lisa Gatlin (Sam) and Ben Crabtree (Rachel); seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Cameron, Izzie, Jordan, Adam, Zachary and Lincoln; siblings, Alvy, Myrt, William, Julie, R.C., Alvin and Joyce; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Dwight Herod and Pastor Matt Durante officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday. Dec. 2 from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home parlor.
The interment and committal service will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. in the Westview Cemetery in Liberty, SC.
