Academic Urologists will host two free information sessions specifically on overactive bladder for men and women on Dec. 7 and on male urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction on Dec, 10. Both sessions begin at 6 p.m. at Erlanger East.
"Overactive Bladder is a condition that can be extremely limiting for both men and women. One in three adults may have symptoms that include needing to go to the bathroom more than eight times a day, having a sudden urgency to urinate that is difficult to control and waking up more than once during the night to urinate. The session on Dec. 7 is a review of overactive bladder and includes information on various treatments. It will feature a discussion from Erlanger’s leading urologists, a patient who will share his/her experience with OAB and a question and answer session.
"As many as 30 million men in the United States experience incontinence and/or erectile dysfunction. Many cases go undiagnosed or are not even discussed with physicians. The Dec. 10 session will allow men to hear about these common medical conditions and advanced treatments available, such as minimally-invasive solutions to regain intimacy and restore control," officials said.
The seminars are free and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. To reserve a seat, call 423-778-LINK (5465). Academic Urologists at Erlanger East is located 1755 Gunbarrel Road.
