Stone Fort Inn Sold For $1,850,000

  • Thursday, November 5, 2015

The Stone Fort Inn on 10th Street has been sold to Sohotel LLC for $1,850,000.

German immigrant L.A. Hirtzfield was commissioned by the Stone Fort Land Company to design the 16 bed Colonial Hotel, which opened in 1909.

It operated until 1989 after being passed down to his daughter, Mary Braly.

She said it to Harry and Maura Phillips, who opened it to the public in 2003.

It was later sold to Sidney Sloan, who operated it from 2008-2010 before selling it to Mark and Sharon Oldham in 2011.
