Hamilton County Jail Temporarily Closes Inmate Visitation

  • Thursday, November 5, 2015
Hamilton County Jail officials have announced that inmate visitation will be temporarily closed until Tuesday due to the renovation and installation of new video visitation equipment.

Once the new electronic equipment is installed and tested, the Hamilton County Jail will transition to video visitation.

Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond will host a press conference on Monday, formally unveiling the new video visitation program, how it works, and how it will better serve inmates, their family, and improve manpower issues inside the jail.

All inmates and immediate family members have been informed of the temporary closure by HCSO Corrections personnel.
