The Lady Cougars take their conference season opener in Memphis Friday night after a dominant fourth quarter performance.
Cleveland State headed to the fourth tied at 60 with Southwest Tenessee Community College before outscoring the Saluqis 32-23 in the final period.
"It was a great team effort tonight with some big clutch shooting in the fourth quarter to get the win," said head coach Dan Lumpkin. "I'm proud of our team effort tonight."
Three players scored in double figures for the Lady Cougars. Von Harrison put up 22 points, JLynn Majors added 18 and Leisa Butler scored 15.
Cleveland State heads to Dyersburg State Community College Saturday afternoon for their second game of conference play. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
