Three Chattanooga radio personalities are to be inducted into the 2016 class of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame.
They include Earl Freudenberg, Bill "Dex" Poindexter and Keith Landecker.
Mr. Freudenberg was at WDOD from 1965 to 1971 before joining the Armed Forces Radio Network. He returned to WDOD and was with the station until it changed its format in 2005. He then joined WDYN. He has also served as news director for WDEF TV. He was named State Broadcaster of the Year in 1981 at age 33. He has long been involved in the Forgotten Child Fund, the Santa Train and the Armed Forces Day activities.
Mr. Poindexter began with WRIP in Rossville. He was with WFLI and WDOD before joining WUSY US101. He has been inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame and won a number of awards from the Country Music groups. He has helped raise over $6 million for St. Jude's Hospital.
Keith Landecker has been at WJTT Power 94 for 26 years. He is also known for his volunteer work in the community. Previously, he worked in Frankfort, Louisville, Cincinnati and Detroit.
