A joint investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Human Trafficking Unit and deputies with the Madison County, Ala., Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a woman in Chattanooga on a charge of promoting prostitution.

As the result of an ongoing two-year human trafficking investigation, TBI special agents, with the assistance of the Chattanooga Police Department and Homeland Security investigators, executed search warrants Tuesday at a home at 608 Valley Ridge Road and an apartment at 936 Mountain Creek Road in Chattanooga.

Also Tuesday, officers with the Madison County, Ala., Sheriff’s Office executed five search warrants in Madison County related to the same investigation. The multi-jurisdictional operation is the result of shared information about human trafficking being exchanged between the two agencies. Evidence found during the search warrant execution resulted in the arrest of Myung Kim, the owner of Royal Spa, which operates in Madison County, Ala.

Tuesday afternoon, Ms. Kim, 61, was arrested and charged with one count of promoting prostitution. She was booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
