Man Shot Sunday Afternoon In East Chattanooga

A man was shot in East Chattanooga on Sunday afternoon.

Police said Javoris Akins was shot in the shoulder near Wilcox and Tunnel boulevards.

The incident happened around 2 p.m.

The injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

He was able to drive himself after the incident.
