Charles Alvin Reed, 71, ofJasper, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 in a Chattanooga hospital.
He was preceded by his parents, James Lowell Reed, Sr and Eula Mae Paul.
Charles had worked in maintenance at Combustion Engineering for 27 years and TVA Sequoah. Mr. Reed also operated Anchor Inn Bait and Tackle and had served in the Tennessee Air National Guard.
Charles is survived by his wife, Charlotte Reed; daughter, Valerie Reed Sanders; sons, Dickey Henley and Todd Henley; brother, Jim (Nancy) Reed; sister, Doris (Dick) Clark; grandchildren, Abbie Sanders, Taylor and Morgan Henley; nephews, Brad (Ellen) Pelfrey and Nathan Reed; niece, Julie Reed; three great-nephews, Logan and Prewitt Pelfrey and Chase Reed.
Graveside services will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. CST, on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. CST, Monday, Dec, 28 and from 9-12 on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at the Tate Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
