Terry Glen Powe (Pops), beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Hixson, died on Saturday, December 26, 2015. 

He was born July 25, 1947 in Chickamauga, to the late Glen and Lois Powe. Mr. Powe graduated from the University of Chattanooga in 1970.  He retired from Unum, formerly Provident Life & Accident Insurance Company, in 2009 after 40 years of service.  

Mr. Powe was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church for over 35 years.  His faith in the Lord was steadfast and will always be an example to his family and friends.  He enjoyed spending time with family, reading, and watching college football, particularly his LSU Tigers with his children and grandchildren.  

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kay Pennington Powe; son, Jeffrey (Sarah) Powe; daughter, Suzanne (Brad) Vickers; grandchildren, Samuel Powe, MaeMae Powe, Luke Powe, Maddox Vickers, Bennett Vickers, and Elliott Vickers; sister, Kathy Lehman, and his cherished aunt, Norma Carollo.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5–7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Arrangements under the direction of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist-North Chapel, Hixson.
