Nancy Brown Hutcheson,75, of Lookout Mountain, died on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Memorial Hospital from complications of an illness. 

A graduate of Girls Preparatory School in 1957, she attended Mt. Vernon College in Washington, D.C., and served in the Junior League of Chattanooga. Nancy served as the first female president of the Southeastern Beef Breeders Association or SEBBA, and served on the board of Beefmaster Breeders United. An avid gardener, Nancy was active in the local farm movement and supplied many local restaurants such as St. John’s, with fresh, organic produce. 

She was born to Elizabeth Thomas Brown and William G. Brown on Nov. 17,1939. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Frank Hutcheson, and her step-daughter, Patricia Hutcheson Zoanni, and is survived by her brother, William G Brown Jr. (Diane), her daughters, Beth Webb and Nancy Taylor Ferris (Thomas Andrew Ferris), and three step-daughters, Hazel Hutcheson Bell (Mitchell Bell), Katharine Hutcheson Sanford, and Laura Hutcheson Finch (Mike Eastman) and son-in-law Luciano Zoanni, and her grandchildren Frank Hutcheson Bell (Megan), Mitchell Marks Bell, William Hayden Bell, Taylor Alison Webb, Graeme Stovall Webb, Luciano Alessandro Zoanni, Harold Hayes Finch, Lewis Lagree Finch, Patricia Rye Sanford and Ishmael Aaron Sanford, and her dog Hutchie, and numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family wants to thank James Davis, LaJoe Nix, and Carolyn Lawrence for their devotion. 

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Forest Hills Cemetery.
