Joe Thompson
Joe Edward Thompson, 85, a former resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died at his residence in Calhoun, Georgia on Monday, February 9, 2015.
He was of the Pentecostal faith. Ed and his wife, Georgia, were in the produce business for many years.
His wife, Georgia Thompson; son, Ronald Edward Thompson; grandson, Justin Lanter and a brother, Cecil Thompson, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Roger) Lanter, Debbie (David) Hancock; son, Joe L. Thompson; sisters, Flossie Sanders, Joann Hambrick, Linda (Bill) Smith, Brenda Griver, Donna (Carl) Cantrell; sisters-in-law, Bernice Reel and Imajean Thompson; grandchildren, Brad (Cristen) Durham, Kelly (Chris) Hudson, Clint (Kayla) Lanter; great-grandchildren, Savannah and Olivia Durham, Asher Lanter, Hollis And Hendrix Hudson.
Services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Roger Lanter officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Cartersville, Ga.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
