Chapel Hill – Participate in the Healthy Park Healthy Person program and increase time spent outdoors at Henry Horton State Park.

Union City – The Chamber, a new exhibit which highlights torture and execution techniques during the Spanish Inquisition, opens at Discovery Park of America.

Huntingdon – “BIG: The Musical,” based on the classic 1987 movie starring Tom Hanks, will be performed by The Dixie Players at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts & Academic Enrichment Center.

Baxter – Take a 168-mile round trip train ride from Nashville to Del Monaco Winery for a full wine tasting event. For reservations, call 931-858-1177.

Jonesborough – Enjoy music by Fiddlin’ Carson Peters and Wolf Creek 6:30 p.m. at the McKinney Center.

Lawrenceburg – Participate in a record-breaking, tree-planting event and help plant 100 trees in David Crockett State Park 9:30 a.m. beginning at Crockett’s Mill Restaurant.

Nashville – Celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the Jewish New Year of Trees, Celebration & Family Day 2-5 p.m. at Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art.

Feb. 26

Jackson – “Ready for Battle: U.S. Colored Troops” teaches about 61M U.S. Colored Infantry, African Americans and the Civil War, and more 6 p.m. at the Jackson Madison Co. Library.

Memphis – Join the Soulsville Foundation’s Stax Music Academy for their Black History Month production, “Peace, Love & Soul: The Art of Healing” 7:30 p.m. at Minglewood Hall. Tickets are $10.

Maryville – Drink a pint for a purpose during Pint Night benefiting the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center 5-9 p.m. at Little River Trading Company.

Goodlettsville – Marionettes and hand-and-rod puppets from Puppet Truck perform “Anansi the Spider” 10 a.m. at the Nashville Public Library in Goodlettsville.

Nashville – Protect the zoo and animals by removing invasive plants during Weed Wrangle at the Nashville Zoo.

March 5

Maryville – Hear multiple types of flutes, from piccolo to bass flute, at the Grace Notes Flute Choir Concert 7 p.m. in the reading rotunda end of the main gallery of Blount County Public Library.

March 6

Gatlinburg – Guests enjoy tropical climate, live music, dancing, food and drink at the Pirate’s Ball at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.

March 7

Nashville – From stamps to Beanie Babies, coins to Halloween decorations, collectors of all things can display their treasures at the annual Collector’s Day at the Adventure Science Center. Collectors must register by Feb. 20.

March 12

Chattanooga –Dress up and hit the town by attending The Moth Ball by CityScope®, an event for women, about women, to benefit women 7-9 p.m. at Stratton Hall.
