Bassell Fredrick (B.F.) Smith, 89, of Villanow, GA, died on Saturday, February 14, 2015.
He was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the European theatre of WWII serving with the 66 Black Panther Division. He spent many days passing out over 40,000 small Bibles during the past several years. He loved the Lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Kinsey Smith; son, Gary K. Smith; parents, Aubry and Bessie Smith; four brothers, Daniel, George A., Julious P. and Nathan L. Smith; and two sisters, Mildred Wardlaw and Arlen Hall.
He is survived by son, B. Kim Smith of Villanow; daughters, Denice (Raymond) Daugherty of Dalton, Deborah (Danny) Hobbs of Villanow and Sandy (Steve) Wilson of LaFayette; grandchildren, Mark Smith, Michele Hall, Brian Smith, Sharon Nelson, Preston Clark, Scott Hobbs, Richard Hobbs, Amanda Little, Shane Smith, Adam Wilson, Ryan Wilson and Katie Wilson; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel will be Wednesday, February 18 at 2 p.m. with grandson Rev. Scott Hobbs officiating and Eulogy by Sheriff Steve Wilson. Pallbearers are the grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are special friends, Frank Knox, Lou Napoli and Roger Avans. Interment will be in the White Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, February 18 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
