The most recent National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics rankings as released by Golfstats have both Dalton State teams moving up in the polls before they have played their first spring contests.
The rankings come on the heels of the Southern States Athletic Conference coaches polls that have the first year Lady Roadrunners favored to capture the conference crown and the second year men’s team, in its first year of post season eligibility, picked just behind defending national champions College of Coastal Georgia.
William Woods University in Fulton, MO is on top of both rankings.
Canada’s University of British Columbia (Colowna, BC) is also high in both rankings.
The Dalton State women are now ninth in the national Golfstat Rankings.

Three Lady Roadrunner Golfers are listed in the individual Top-50.
Erika Wardzinski (Jr.) is ranked 13th, Caroline Griffin (Fr.) is 47th and Julia McQuilken (Jr.) is 49th in the NAIA.
The Dalton State men are just outside the Top Ten. The Roadrunners moved to 11th in the national Golfstat Rankings.

Individually, Dalton State sophomore Sean Elliott is said to be seventh best in the NAIA. Teammate Chase Jones (So.) comes in at 67.
The Dalton State women’s golf team begins the spring schedule on Feb. 28 and March 1 in the Callaway Women’s Collegiate at Callaway Gardens – Pine Mountain, GA.
The Dalton State men’s golf team begins the spring schedule on March 2-3 in the Doublegate Invitational at the Doublegate Country Club in Albany, GA.
