Musical Program by Robin Burk On Sunday At Pilgrim Congregational

  • Thursday, February 19, 2015

Robin Burk will be sharing a program of music on Sunday at 5:30 p.m., at Pilgrim Congregational Church.

Ms. Burk plays a number of instruments, including flute, handpans, metal tongue drums and the "thumb piano," a generic term often used for the African llamelaphone.  Each style is unique and is named for the African region in which it originates.  As a certified music practitioner, she has been trained to provide live therapeutic music at the bedside of the ill and dying.

Her concentration is on stress relief and deep rest as well as the special needs of those in the final hours of life.

A light meal will precede the program at 5 p.m.

Pilgrim Congregational Church is located at 400 Glenwood Dr., at the corner of Third St., near Notre Dame High School and Memorial Hospital. For further information call the church office at 423-698-5682.
