Singer-songwriter Kari Jobe will continue Lee University’s U-Church series on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the Conn Center.

Ms. Jobe has received one Grammy Award nomination and two Dove awards since her debut in 2009. She has released three albums, the most recent of which is a live worship recording titled “Majestic.” Ms. Jobe’s first album, self-titled, was No. 67 on the Billboard 200 list, No. 1 on iTunes’ Christian music chart, and No. 3 on Billboard’s Christian music chart. Her second album, “Where I Find You,” debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 in 2012 and was nominated for a Grammy in 2013.

“Worship, for me, has always been such a rescue place in my life,” said Ms. Jobe. “When you get down to the very bare bones of worship, it is about us being thankful for the cross and magnifying the name of Jesus above all names. Anything past that is just feel-good music.”

Currently the worship pastor at Gateway Church in Texas and a lead member of the Christian worship band Gateway Worship, Ms. Jobe has also traveled internationally for music-centered mission trips. Her father is the Global Ministries pastor at Gateway.

In addition to her own headlining tours, Ms. Jobe has toured with the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, Chris Tomlin’s “Burning Lights” tour, Hillsong Conferences in Sydney and London, and the Passion Conference.

U-Church is a free, non-ticketed event for students, alumni and the community. Seating is first-come, first-served, and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
