Whitfield County Landfill, Convenience Center Locations Closed Due To Weather

The Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority has announced that the Old Dixie Highway Landfill and all four Convenience Center (transfer station) sites in Whitfield county will remained closed Saturday due to icy roads and inclement weather. 

Locations include:

  1. Old Dixie Landfill and Convenience Center

  2. McGaughey Chapel Convenience Center in Cohutta

  3. Westside Convenience Center in Rocky Face

  4. M.L. King Convenience Center in Dalton

All four sites are expected to be open on Monday, from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., their regular operating hours.  For additional updates visit the official website at http://www.DWSWA.org.
