Howard Sanford
Howard Sanford died in his home Sunday morning, February 22, 2015, at the age of 74.

He was a Baptist minister of 51 years serving in Illinois, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. He retired from McKee Baking Company where he was a field supervisor. He was well known and loved as a Sunday School teacher and revival preacher. His legacy is in his children, his grandchildren, and the untold numbers of people influenced by his ministry. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sarah Sue Frost Sanford; his five children, Terry, Susan (Denny), Larry (Jennifer), James (Jessica) and David (Kandi); nine grandchildren, Amber, Natalie, Tyler (Samantha), Kelcey, Paige, Steven, Scott, Karrissa and Karla; and his siblings, Tommie, Bobbie, Paula Adkins, Joyce Edgeworth and Myra.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Lupton Drive Baptist Church, 850 Lupton Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37415, with Reverend Denny LeCroy, Reverend Roger DeHart and Bobby Sanford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Anz and staff, the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class, Pastor Randy Bell, and the McKee Bakery Truck Drivers. 

Interment will follow in Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 5-9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home and on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the church.
