Pat McGuire Strange, 80, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her residence after an extended illness. 

Pat was born and raised in Chattanooga. She graduated from Chattanooga High School with the class of 1951.

Most of Pat's adult life was spent away from the Chattanooga area.  She and her husband Bob, however, returned in 1998 to spend their retirement in the home they had built in Brown's Ferry Landing.  They traveled extensively in the U.S. and countries abroad.

She was predeceased by her mother, Myrtle Carrier McGuire, father, Hobert Walker McGuire; sister, Virginia Abercrombie and brother; Donald McGuire.

Pat is survived by her husband, Bob Strange; children, stepchildren and their spouses, Valarie Grotewold (Jim),Gail Sterchi (David), Donna Northcutt (Kirk), Carol Rose (Phil), Nancy Williams (Marc), Rick Strange, Patty Hoffman (Chip).

She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, too numerous to list here.

Pat has requested that there be no ceremony to mark her passing, but that her family and friends remember her as she was in life.
