City officials are expected to waive a landfee fee estimated at around $1,000 to help get rid of an unsightly barge across from Ross's Landing Park.

Travis McDonough, the mayor's chief of staff, said attorneys in the Allen Casey bankruptcy said that would be helpful in seeking a solution to eliminating the eyesore.

He said much of the barge may be recycled, but some parts will need to go to the dump.
