The Piedmont College Singers, a select 44-voice chorus from Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga, will be performing at Pilgrim Congregational Church on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. as part of their spring tour. The concert is free and open to the public. The choral group is led by Dr. C. Wallace Hinson, conductor.
"This select ensemble performs a wide variety of literature from the Renaissance period to works of the 21st century. Known as a choral group that sings with great precision, the Piedmont College Singers are also noted for their performance of ethnic choral music from Eastern Europe, Jamaica, and South Africa; contemporary choral music; and American folk songs and spirituals," officials said.
The Piedmont College Singers have presented concerts all across the U.S. and Canada as well as in the British Isles.
Pilgrim Church is located at 400 Glenwood Drive, at the corner of Third Street, near Notre Dame High School and Memorial Hospital.
