Rena Nichols, 90, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area where she worked as a cook at Orange Hut retiring in the 1980s after seven years of service. She was a born again Christian who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family, and her dog Holly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Nichols; daughter, Barbara Faye White; parents, Horace and Myrtle Hodge; two sisters; two brothers; and granddaughter, JoAnna Nichols.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth (Ann) Nichols, Bernard (Virginia) Nichols, and George “Doc” (Faye) Nichols; son in law, Dale White; brothers, Grady Hodge, Harold Hodge, and Tommy Hodge; sisters, Katherine Boran, Doris Hodge, and Jean Watson; seven grandchildren, Kennie Jones, Stephanie Kettenring, Chris Nichols, Libby Murr, Lisa Clayton, Brian Nichols, and Jennifer Cicero; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Chris Nichols, Robert Bates, and Hoyt Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
